Israel Champion Janes (1760-1847) was in the garrison of Ticonderoga when it surrendered and was on picket duty when the fort was evacuated. He was born in Brimfield, Mass.; died in Cornwall, Vt.

Joseph Parker (1735-1825) served in Capt. Benjamin Ames' company of minute men from Andover, Mass., where he was born. He died in Cornwall, Vt.

Henry Scott (1763-1834) enlisted, 1778, in Capt. Abner Hawley's company. He served short tours under Captains Joshua Whitney, Ithamar Spencer, and James McKean. He was at Cherry Valley and Newtown. In 1829 his pension was allowed for two years' actual service as private, New York Line. He was born in Albany County, N. Y.; died in Isle Le Motte, Vt.

Randolph Fox (1739-1806) was one of the white settlers of the Susquehanna. He joined the army, 1777; was taken prisoner and confined in Canada nine months. After his release he served in the expedition under Col. Thomas Hartley. He was born in Germany; died in Towanda, Pa.

Isaac Van Valkenburg (1710-85) was a patriot of Wysox, where he with his family was taken prisoner, carried to Montreal, and not exchanged until the close of the war.
William Boise (1721-1804) served as a delegate, 1775, and as a member of the Continental Congress, 1779. He was born and died in Blanford, Mass.

Elisha Whitney (1744-1832) was placed on the pension roll, 1844, of Wysox, Bradford County, Pa., for service as private in Capt. Joel Green's company, Colonel Learned's regiment. He was born in Spencer, Mass.; died in Wysox, Pa.

Elisha Hills (1753-1804) responded to the Lexington Alarm as minute man in Capt. Jonathan Well's regiment from Hartford, Conn., where he was born and died.
John Pitkin (1707-97), who fought in the French and Indian wars, was one of the first of the colonists to sign the stamp act; also member of committees of Hartford, Conn., where he was born and died.
Thomas Lee (1739-1814) served as lieutenant, Continental Line, 1775; captain, 1776; resigned, 1778. In 1779 he commanded the Associated Exempts under Col. Zephaniah Platt. He was born in Fishkill; died in Penn Yan, N. Y.

Benjamin Peck (1722-88) commanded a company of Litchfield troops, which marched on the New Haven Alarm, 1779. He was born and died in Litchfield.
Richard Wallace (1757-97) served as corporal, 1776, in Capt. James Judson's company in the New York campaign; also, 1779, in Capt. Moses Seymour's company of Light Dragoons. He was born in Middletown; died in Litchfield, Conn.

Eleazer Porter (1728-97) was a graduate of Yale, 1748; served, 1776-77, as selectman, justice of the peace, and judge of the Probate Court. He was born and died in Hadley, Mass.
Abraham Goodwin (1750-1822) served as private in Capt. John Long's 2nd company, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania Line. He was born in Northumberland County; died in Luzerne County, Pa.
David Knox (1747-1830) signed the Association Test, 1776, of Allenstown, N. H.; died in Tunbridge, Vt.
Asa Clark (1731-1810) responded to the Lexington Alarm as lieutenant in Col. John Smith's regiment; also served, 1778, at Boston. He was born in Massachusetts; died in West Midway, Mass.
William Scott (1744-1803) served as a minute man in Capt. David Noble's company, Col. John Patterson's regiment at the Lexington Alarm. He was born in Roxburyshire, Scotland; died in Blanford, Mass.
