Jonathan, son of John Whitney was born in England 1634 and died in Sherburne, Mass 1702. He left a will dated January 12, 1702. He married, in Watertown October 30, 1656 to Lydia Jones the daughter of Lewis & Anna Jones. Children: 1. Lydia July 3, 1657 ** 2. Jonathan October 20, 1658 3. Anna April 28, 1660 4. Benjamin January 6, 1678/79 Jonathan WHitney was born October 20, 1658 at Watertown and died at Concord March 17, 1734/35. He served in King Philip's war. His will was dated March 14 and proved March 18, 1735. He married Sarah Hapgood of Sudbury, the daughter of Shadrach Hapgood & Elizabeth Treadway. Children: 1. Sarah born March 2, 1692/93 2. Daniel born September 12, 1710 Daniel was born September 12, 1710 at Concord and died at Boylston October 18, 1779. He married at Shrewsbury on March 8, 1738/39 to Thankful Allen, the daughter of Elnathan Allen & Mercy Rice. She died, his widow, at Boylston August 8, 1801 at age 88 years. Children: ** 1. Amos (no date given) Levi was born at Shrewsbury on December 5, 1739 and died at Townsend January 8, 1809. He was a Lieutenant of Captain James Prescott's company, of Colonel William Prescott's regiment, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775 to Cambridge and he also served with the same company at the battle of Bunker Hill on June 17, 1775. Levi married (first) December 19, 1764 to Rebecca Clark the daughter of Deacon Samuel Clark. He married (second) November 13, 1780 to Mrs. Lydia (Randall) Price, of Townsend, widow of of Major Henry Price, first deputy grand master of Masons in America. Children by first wife: 1. Rebecca born July 29, 1781 Aaron was born in Townsend, 1771. He was a blacksmith by trade and in 1812 was the postmaster at Amherst, Mass. In 1815 his shop was burned and he moved to Calais, ME. He died February 16, 1845. He married (first) March 16, 1797 to Phebe Dunklee, who was born December 20, 1778 and died January 31, 1800. He married (second) Olive Lund, born August 1779 and died January 1867. Children: 1. Levi born July 7, 1798 2. Luke (twin) born January 2, 1800 3. Mark (twin) born January 2, 1800 ** 4. George Q born April 22, 1843 6. Fannie Forrester 7. Grace Greenwood who married October 11, 1876 George H. Carey Amos was born October 8, 1832 at Biddeford, ME. He married September 8, 1856 to Laura Johnson, the daughter of John & Sally (Cheney) Johnson, who was born November 9, 1837. Children: 1. Nellie Hortense born October 5, 1860 and died June 8, 1865 2. Nettie Louise born November 8, 1865 ** 3. Clarence Edgar born November 26, 1869 Clarence married April 25, 1900 to Nellie Hurlburt. Children: 1. Dorothy Goodwin born February 6, 1901 2. John (1) John (2) Nathaniel, son of John (2) born Feb 1646 in Watertown, married 1673 to Sarah Hagar who died in 1746. Nathaniel died 1732. Nathaniel, the son of Nathaniel, was born 1675 in Watertown and married in 1695 to Mercy Robinson. She died 1740 and he died 1730. Nathaniel, the son of Nathaniel, was born 1696 and married 1721 to Mary Child and settled in Westboro. Both died in 1776. Eli, the son of Nathaniel, was baptized in 1740 and married in 1765 to Elizabeth Fay who died in 1777. He died in 1797. Eli, the son of Eli, was born Dec 8, 1765 in Westboro, Mass. In Jan 1817 he married Henrietta Frances Edwards, the daughter of Pierpont Edwards. She was born Jun 1790 and died April 1870. He died Jan 8, 1825. Children: 1. Frances E. born November 23, 1817 & married in 1842 to Charles L. Chaplain. She died May 7, 1859. 2. Elizabeth F. ** 3. Eli 4. Susan E. born Jan 1821 and died 1823. Eli was born 24 Nov 1820 in New Haven. He married in Utica, NY on Jun 17, 1845 to Sarah Perkins Dalliba who died Jan 12, 1909. She was the daughter of Susannah Huntington, the granddaughter of Judge Benjamin Huntington of Norwich, CT. Eli died Aug 17, 1895. Children: ** 1. Eli 2. Susan Huntington born Aug 1, 1849 and married 1873 to Rev. Chauncey Bunce Brewster. She died May 25, 1885. 3. Henrietta Edwards Eli was born Jan 22, 1847 in New Haven. John (1) Richard, the son of John (1) was baptized Jan 6, 1623/24. He was admitted as a freeman on May 7, 1651 and was a proprietor of the town of Stow, Mass.
