(2d), Amelia Burt, of Albany; removed to Utica, N. Y.; died there in 1862; and was buried near his wife in Albany Rural Cemetery.
3738 II. James Whitney, b. at New Scotland, N. Y., 26 May 1814; a saddler and harness-maker; settled in Albany, N. Y., and there married, 24 Nov. 1834, Elizabeth Blackett Adams, who was born at Albany, 19 Jan. 1815, dau. of Joseph Hillyer and Leah (Blackett) Adams. He died in Lansing Street, Albany, 19 July 1851. 10147
3739 III. Mary Anna Whitney, b. at New Scotland, N. Y., 9 Feb. 1816; married Linus W. McCabe, son of Rev. Mr. McCabe, of Milton, N. Y. She died of consumption, at her father's house in Washington Street, Albany, N. Y., 4 March 1838, and was buried in lot 159, section 92, Albany Rural Cemetery. He died not long after her death, and was buried at Ballston, N. Y., beside his father. 10151
3740 IV. Edward Robinson Boles Whitney, b. near Clarksville, New Scotland, N. Y., 8 March 1818; a harness-maker; married by Rev. Dr. Gregory, of the Ref. Dutch Church, at West Troy, N. Y., 20 July 1844; to Wealthy Maria Whipple, born at Union Village, Greenwich, N. Y., in 1825, g. dau. of Marmaduke and Wealthy Maria (Whipple) Whipple. His place of business was at the corner of Whitehall and Auburn Streets, West Troy, N. Y., in Dec. 1873. 10152
3741 V. Abigail Whitney, in Washington Street, Albany, N. Y., 1 March 1820; a dress-maker; died of cancer, in Albany, 10 Oct. 1860, unmarried; and was buried in log 159, section 92, Albany Rural Cemetery.
3742 VI. Hezekiah Wells Whitney, b. at Albany, N. Y., 5 May 1822; a harness-maker; married by Rev. William Anster, Baptist, at Union Village, Greenwich, N. Y., 1 July 1844, to Melissa Tefft, who was born in Union Village, 6 July 1818, dau. of William Daniel and Mary (Kenyon) Tefft, and widow of Samuel Shepard, of Union Village. He settled in Albany; went thence, in 1845, to Argyle, N. Y.; returned to Albany in 1848, to Argyle in 1851, and to Albany again in 1854; moved thence, in 1862, to Lasselville, N. Y.; and finally settled, 1 Oct. 1863, in Oswego, N. Y., where he lived in 1875, at 86 West Cayuga Street. He enlisted, 15 Aug. 1864, in Co., D, 184th Reg., N. Y. Volunteers, and served till mustered out, 30 June 1865, at City Point, Va. 10159
3743 VII. Luke Whitney, b. in Washington Street, Albany, N. Y., in 1824; died in Albany, of small-pox, aged about 20 months; and was buried in the graveyard belonging to St. Peter's Church (Episcopal), at the head of State Street.
