Albert Emmet9 Whitney (Henry Mason8, David7, Silas6, David5, Benjamin4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Henry Mason8 and Maria A. (Wood) Whitney, was born 19 Jul 1853, Hampden, OH, and died 1939. He was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA.[1]

He married firstly, 12 Jun 1881, Mary Cathrine Cochran, daughter of John and Mary Jane (-----) Cochran. She was born Jan 1856, PA, and died 14 Jun 1885.

He married secondly, between 1885 and 1905, ----- -----. She died before 1911.

He married thirdly, 3 Jun 1911, Anderson, IN, Elvina Sabina Bittelmeyer, daughter of Kilian Augustin and Mary (Fahnert) Bittlemeyer. She was born 30 Mar 1863, Germany, and died before 1920.

He married fourthly, before 1920, Levina Hibbety Bittelmeyer, daughter of Kilian Augustin and Mary (Fahnert) Bittlemeyer, and sister of his third wife. She was born 25 Aug 1871, Hillsboro, OH, and died 10 Dec 1944, Los Angeles Co., CA. She was buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA.[2]

It appears that Albert and Lavina share a plot in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Glendale, CA, where again the dates fit the younger sister Lavina, not Ella. Yet the marriage specifically lists Ella's birth date, which does fit said older sister, listed as Elvina in 1880.

He was graduated at the Grand River institute, Austinburg, OH, June, 1879; received degrees A. M. and B. S. at Wooster university, OH, June, 1882; read law under Judge D. W. Canfield, Chardon, OH, and Judge George A. Rathbun, of Ridgeway, PA, and was admitted to practice 25 May 1885. He taught in the public schools from 1871 to 1880, and from 1882 to 1885 was principal of Richardsville academy, Richardsville, PA. At present he is practicing law in Chicago with offices in the Reaper block; resided 313 Fulton St., Chicago, IL.
