Alpheus Whitney (Henry), son of Henry Whitney, was born about 1812, NH, and died after 1880.

He married, 30 Aug 1840, Watertown, MA, or 15 Oct 1840, Boston, MA,[1] Sarah Clifford Fletcher, daughter of John and Nancy (Philips) Fletcher. She was born 30 Jan 1809, Prospect, ME, and died after 1880, Phoenix, AZ.

He was a trader in 1850, a laborer in 1860, and a farmer in 1880. They lived in Vermont, Watertown, MA, Stockton, ME, and Minneapolis, MN.
