Amity5 Whitney (William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), daughter of William4 and Martha (Peirce)Whitney, was born 6 Oct 1712, Watertown, MA,[1] baptized 21 Jan 1727/8, Weston, MA, aged 15 years,[2] and died after 11 Mar 1760.

Amity married, 14 Oct 1730, Sudbury, MA, Lebbeus Graves,[3] son of Richard and Joanna (-----) Graves. He was born 22 Jun 1705, and died between 1 Aug 1757 and 12 Dec 1757, Killingly, CT, at age 52.

Her father's estate was probated 15 Aug 1720 at Weston, MA; Martha Whitney, widow, of Weston, was appointed guardian of the five minor children of William Whitney, her late husband, of Weston, vizt. William, in his 14th year, Judith, in her 12th year, Amity, in her 8th year, Martha, in her 5th year, and Samuel, in his 2nd year, and posted bond with Jacob Peirce, husbandman, of Weston, as surety. On 31 Mar 1729, Weston, MA, Amity Whitney, in her 17th year, daughter of William Whitney, late of Weston, deceased, chose Lebbeus Graves, of Sudbury, husbandman, as her guardian; he posted bond with Jona Greaves of Sudbury, house carpenter, as surety.

At the time of the probate of the estate of father William Whitney in 1720, Martha Whitney, widow, was appointed guardian of the five minor children of her late husband, vizt. William, in his 14th year, Judith, in her 12th year, Amity, in her 8th year, Martha, in her 5th year, and Samuel, in his 2nd year, and posted bond with Jacob Pierce, husbandman, of Weston, as surety.

Amity Whitney, child of William, deceased, and Martha, was admitted to the church 21 Jan 1727/8, Weston, MA.[4]

vii. Whitney Graves, b. 22 Nov 1751, Killingly, CT; m. Esther Youngs.
