Charles7 Whitney (Charles6, John5, (poss.) Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Charles6 and Rachel (Pattee) Whitney, was born 9 Aug 1818, Thorndike, ME, and died 1 Aug 1896, Presque Isle, ME. He was buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, ME.

He "of Freedom" married firstly, 12 Nov 1844, Freedom, ME, or 13 Nov 1844, Knox, ME, Sarah K. Hall "of Knox".[1] She was born 3 Jun 1820, and died 29 Mar 1862, aged 41 years 9 months 26 days. She was buried in Sayward Cemetery, Thorndike, ME.

He married secondly, 18 Aug 1864, Belfast, ME, Ruth N. Cunningham, daughter of Orren and Lucinda (-----) Cunningham. She was born about 1839.[2]
