Cornelius5 Whitney ([prob.] Joshua4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Joshua4 and [?Joanna?] (-----) Whitney,[1] was born 1761, Killingly, CT,[2] and died 4 Dec 1831, Walworth, NY.[3] He was buried in West Walworth Cemetery, Walworth, NY.[4]

He married 19 Oct 1785, Putnam, Connecticut, Sarah Church Cady,[5] daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth (Church) Cady[6]. She was born 9 Dec 1759, Killingly, CT;[7] died 18 Jun 1836.[8] She was buried in West Walworth Cemetery, Walworth, NY.[9]

He was born about 1761 and resided at Killingly, CT. In 1792 he moved to Granville, NY, and in 1825 to Walworth, where he died in his 70th year. Most of his life he was an innkeeper, but during his late years he was a farmer. He resided Walworth, Ontario County, NY.
