He married firstly, sometime before 1875, Annie Cooke. She died before 1881.

He married secondly, Oct 1882, Christiana Marshall Johnson, daughter of Benjamin and Mary Ann E. (-----) Johnson. She was born about 1862, Wednesbury, Stafford, England, and died 1942, Rowley Regis, Staffordshire, England.

The family was enumerated in Kingswinford, Staffordshire, England in 1881 where Edwin was a Draper employing one apprentice and having two servants. The family was enumerated on High Street in Kingswinford, Staffordshire, England in 1891 where Edwin C. was listed as a Draper Cassock & Turpentine Manufacturer.
