Elijah5 Whitney (John4, William3, Joshua2, John1), son of John4 and Elizabeth (Adams) Whitney, was born 10 Sep 1750, Lebanon, CT,[1] and died 16 May 1821, Canaan, CT, aged 70 years[2]; buried, Canaan, CT.[3]
He married, 24 Sep 1772, Canaan, CT, Chloe Beckley[4], daughter of Joseph and Pedey (Hancox) Beckley. She was born 25 Mar 1755, Canaan, CT, and died 22 Jan 1827, Canaan, CT, aged 72 years[5][6].
Mrs. Chloe Whitney was admitted to the church, 21 Dec 1819, Watertown, CT, and then was dismissed by letter.[7]

Electa Whitney, b. circa 1783. v. William Whitney. Said by Pierce to be the one b. 22 Feb 1784, Hartford, CT; m. Prudence Brown, but this is incorrect. See Family:Whitney, William (1784-1859).
