George Whitney, son of George, was born about 1843, Montreal, QC, Canada, and died 12 Feb 1886, Cambridge, MA, aged 42 years, of cirrhosis of the liver.[1]

He married, before 1875, Isabelle K. Frazier, daughter of Daniel and Mary (-----) Frazier. She was born about Sep 1853, Salem, MA, and died after 1896. She married secondly, 24 Nov 1896, Boston, MA, Walter Balfour Mason (1846-1909), son of Walter and Louisa (Abbott) Mason,[2] as his third wife.

He was a painter.

In 1882 hew was a painter living at 173 Cambridge St., Boston, MA. In 1911, she was living in Malden, MA; in 1915, in Salem, MA; in 1923, in Boston, MA; in 1931, had removed to Camden, NJ.

i. Claude George Whitney, b. 29 Dec 1875, Beverly, MA;[3] m. 16 Sep 1902, Somerville or Boston, MA, Bertha Cooper, b. ca. 1879, Somerville, MA, dau. of Samuel and Jeanette (-----) Cooper.[4]
ii. Paulina Whitney, b. 13 Oct 1877, Salem, MA;[5] m. 30 Oct 1902, Boston, MA, Conrad Peterson, b. ca. 1879, Sweden, son of John C. and Christin (Rosenberg) Peterson.[6]
iii. Mary E. Whitney, b. 16 Feb 1882, Boston, MA [mother "Elisabeth"];[7] d. 5 Aug 1882, Boston, MA, aged 5 months 21 days, of cholera infantum [mother "Elizabeth"].[8]
