Gustavus Fellows7 Whitney (Ephraim6, Joel5, Abel4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Ephraim6 and Sarah (Noyes) Whitney, was born 24 Dec 1795, Jonesboro, ME, and died 23 Jan 1846, Jonesboro, ME.

He married, 14 Jun 1817, Jonesboro, ME, Hannah (Libby) Colson, daughter of Joseph and Jane (Cole) Libby. She was born 8 Apr 1793, Harrington, ME, and died 8 Nov 1855, Jonesboro, ME. The name of her first husband ----- Colson is unknown. Gustavus and Hannah are buried in the Porter Whitney (Village) Cemetery in Jonesboro.

iii. Sarah Whitney, b. 8 Jun 1822; d. 12 Jun 1902; m. 18 May 1854, Jonesboro, ME, John Fogg Lord, b. 7 December 1831 in Kittery, ME. They had two children.
iv. Loring Lovejoy Whitney, b. 8 Jun 1825, Jonesboro, ME; m. Elizabeth Smith.
v. Charles P. Whitney, b. 10 Mar 1826, Jonesboro, ME; m. Emma Jane Bryant.
vi. Mary Jane Whitney, b. 26 Apr 1828, Jonesboro, ME; no further record found.
vii. George Washington Whitney, b. 10 Apr 1831, Jonesboro, ME.; d. 27 Dec 1912, Olympia, WA. He was buried two days later in the Masonic Cemetery in Olympia.
viii. Andrew Jackson Whitney, b. 4 Feb 1833, Jonesboro, ME; m. Angelina P. -----.
ix. Ephraim Whitney, b. 7 Jul 1835, Jonesboro, ME; m. Rebecca Drisko Leighton.
