Family:Whitney, Hamilton Charles (1805-1877)

Hamilton Charles Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 27 Oct 1806, "Billeyton", VT, and died 23 Sep 1878 (but 1877 on gravestone), Weston, OH, aged 72 years 11 months 28 days (on gravestone, making his birthdate 25 Sep 1805), of consumption.[1]

He married, 20 Dec 1837, Allen, NY, Roxanne Almina Heath, daughter of Daniel Loren and Permelia (Pettys) Heath. She was born 22 Jun 1820, Allen, NY, and died 17 Jun 1902, Weston, OH. She married secondly, 28 Jul 1889, Andrew Collins.[2]

Of her 5 children, only 2 outlived her.

Both are buried in Weston Cemetery, Weston, OH, but she has no stone. His is weathered and difficult to read.

iv. Albert W. Whitney, b. 12 Aug 1851, Huron Co., OH; m.(1) Mary Celia Ford; m.(2) Sarah Jennie Carson.

Notes

One might guess that "Billeyton" could be Burlington.
