Capt. Henry Whitney, son of Charles and Sarah (Mosher) Whitney (see Notes below), was born 24 Oct 1812, Saint John, NB, and died 7 Dec 1889, West Quaco, NB, aged 78 years, postmaster, of old age, Church of England.[1] He "Capt. H." was buried in Mosher Hill, Cemetery, West Quaco, NB.[2]

He married, 14 Aug 1838, St. Augustine, Bristol, Somersetshire, England, Mary Storey Parry. She was born 4 Jul 1818, Liverpool, Lancashire, England, and died 21 Sep 1895, West Quaco, NB. She was buried 23 Sep 1895, in Mosher Hill Cemetery, West Quaco, NB.[3]

In addition to their own children, they raised a foster child Blanche who married George Culver.

Several public trees at Ancestry.com identify his father Charles with Charles6 Whitney (Samuel5, Abraham4, Joseph3, John2, Henry1). No proof of this has yet been found.
