Henry Whitney (William, Thomas, Thomas), son of William and Martha (Lilwall) Whitney, was born about 1840, Weobley, Herefordshire, England, and died Dec 1895, Stourbridge, Worcestershire, England.

He married, about 1871, Elizabeth -----. She was born about 1837, Lewknor, Oxford, England.

Kingswinford and Wordsley are adjacent, and about 30 miles northeast of Hereford and west of Birmingham.

ii. George Whitney, b. about 1875, Wordsley, Staffordshire, England; bapt. 8 Jul 1874, St. Mary, Kingswinford, Staffordshire, England; m. Agnes Taylor Gallimore.
iii. Emily Whitney, b. about 1878, Wordsley, Staffordshire, England, bp. 14 Aug 1877, St. Mary, Kingswinford, Staffordshire, England. She was listed with the family in 1881. She was listed with the family in 1891 and was attending school. She was not listed with the family in 1901. She may be the Mary Emily Salter, b. ca. 1878 Wordsley, enumerated as the wife of Joseph Salter in Kingswinford in 1901.
