Isaac7 Whitney (James M.6, Jacob5, Benjamin4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of James M.6 and Reliance (?Hinckley?) Whitney, was born about 1826, Phillips, ME, or Phillipston, MA, and died after 1880.

Marriage intentions were published 16 Aug 1850, Lewiston, ME, for him "Mr." "of Lewiston" and "Mrs." Amand M. (Jones) Saltmarsh.[1] He "Mr." married, 12 Sep 1850, Lewiston, ME, "Mrs." Amanda M. (Jones) Saltmarsh, "both of Lewiston".[2] She was born about 1824, ME or Orange, VT, or Washington, VT, and died after 1880. She had married firstly, 10 Sep 1840, Weld, ME, David L. M. Saltmarsh (1819-1851). She may be the Amanda Merry Jones, born 14 May 1821, Livermore, ME, daughter of Napoleon/Apollos and Prudence (Chase) Jones.

They resided Waltham and West Springfield, MA, Appleton and Leopold, WI, and Phillips, ME.

i. Abby E. Saltmarsh, b. ca. 1843, NH; d. 1 Jan 1863, Springfield, MA, aged 20 years, of childbirth, residing in Chicopee.[3]
