Isaac Reed8 Whitney (David7, Amos6, Jonathan5, Samuel4, John3, Benjamin2, John1), son of David7 and Mercy (Reed) Whitney, was born 12 Jul 1830, prob. Waldo, Waldo Co., ME, and died 25 Mar 1923, Orrington, ME.

He married 14 or 16 Aug 1859, Bangor, ME, Matilda Ann Frazier, both of Bangor,[1] daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (-----) Frazier. She was born 4 Feb 1843, Bangor, ME, and died 19 Oct 1921, Orrington, ME.

Isaac and Matilda were married twice. In the census of 1880, Isaac is listed as divorced, and they were remarried on 19 Feb 1899 in Bradley, ME.

Isaac was a Civil War veteran, and he received a pension from the U.S. government. Both Isaac and Matilda are buried in the Dean Hill Cemetery in Orrington, ME.
