Isaac Sanderson8 Whitney (Zimri7, John6, Zachariah5, John4, Joseph3, John2, John1), son of Zimri7 and Susanna (Sanderson) Whitney, was born 7 Apr 1802, Lunenburg, MA, and died 26 Nov 1888, Lancaster, NH.

He married firstly, 20 Jan 1823, Dublin, NH, Maria Ockington,[1] daughter of Jesse and Hannah (Greenwood) Ockington. She died 9 Jun 1845, age 43 years, 10 months.[2]

He married secondly, 19 Oct 1845, Dalton, NH, Hannah Wilson Crandall,[3] daughter of Joel and Susanna (Bredin) Crandall. She was born 10 Jan 1813, Dalton, NH, and died 30 Sep 1864, West Bethel, ME.

He married thirdly, 6 May 1865, Bethel, ME, Harriet S. (Woodward)(Forbes) Marden, daughter of Luke and Sally (Howard) Woodward. She was born 24 Dec 1814, Hebron, ME, and died 24 Dec 1900, Lancaster, NH, aged 86 years exactly, of senility.[4] She had married firstly, before 1850, Leland H. Forbes. She had married secondly, 2 Sep 1860, Lancaster, NH, James Marden.

He resided Bethel, ME.

iii. (son) Whitney, b. 1825-1830; deduced from 1830 Census; not in family in 1840.
iv. (daughter) Whitney, b. 1830-1835; deduced from 1840 Census.
v. Susan M. Whitney, b. between Mar 1836 and Mar 1837; d. 28 Mar 1840, age 3 years.
vi. Mary W. Whitney, b. 1837, West Bethel, ME; m. 17 May 1865, Marlborough, MA, Samuel B. Parmenter, as his second wife;[7] resided Marlborough, MA; s. p.
vii. Zimri Whitney, b. 19 Aug 1839, Bethel, ME; m. Susan Jane Fairbanks.
viii. George W. Whitney, b. ca. Jul 1842, d. 24 Dec 1842, age 5 months.
