James Bradish8 Whitney (Simon7, Nathaniel Ruggles6, Simon5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Simon7 and Mary (Walker) Whitney, was born 22 Aug 1843, Framingham, MA,[1] and died 8 Jun 1906, Lykens, PA, aged 63 years 9 months 16 days, of dropsy.[2] He was buried in Millersburg, PA.

He married, before 1879, Mary A. Leffler, daughter of Daniel and Harriet (Koppenhoffer) Leffler. She was born 15 Aug 1853, Dauphin Co., PA, and died 13 Sep 1922, Lykens, PA, aged 69 years 0 months 29 days, of aortic insufficiency with complete heart block.[3] She was buried in Millersburg, PA.

He resided Reading, PA.
