Family:Whitney, Jesse Bedient (1810-a1839)
He married, say 21 Dec 1833, Elmore, VT, Hannah Estabrook.
Phoenix says the following:
- ... after living with her about two years, went to Ohio, as a clock-peddler, and never returned. His brothers and sisters have not heard from him since about 1839."
Children of Jesse Bedient7 and Hannah (Estabrook) Whitney:
i. Norman Gustavus8 Whitney, b. ca. 1836, VT; m. Mariah Louisa Woods.
- 1840: The only Jesse Whitney in Ohio was 40-49, so unlikely to be this man, who was 29, and further is otherwise identified. There is a Jesse Whitney in New York, New York Co., NY, with 1 male 20-29, 1 male 0-4, 1 female 20-29, and 1 female 0-4. The ages could fit this family if they also had a daughter born 1835-1840, but there is no indication that they ever lived in New York City.
- 1850: not found.
