He married, 1 Jul 1858, Manchester, NH, Eliza H. Fisher, daughter of Pliny and Betsey (Parker) Fisher. She was born 1 Jun 1832, Steuben, ME, and died 24 Apr 1906, Foxborough, MA, aged 74 years 10 months 22 days, of lobar pneumonia.
He was born on his father's farm in Goffstown, NH, where he passed the greater part of his life engaged in farming. He inherited the property from his parents who lived with him until their death. On the death of Mr. Whitney, in 1879, the property passed out of the family, but is still known as "the Whitney Place." He resided Goffstown, NH.
