John W.⁸ Whitney (Robert W.⁷, Daniel⁶, Ebenezer⁵, Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Robert W.⁷ and Janet Eliza (Warren) Whitney, was born about 1852, NB, and died after 1883.

He married, 4 Sep 1883, Charlotte McLean. She was born in NB.

They resided North Esk Parish, NB.

Children of John W.⁸ and Charlotte (McLean) Whitney:

i.	Frances A.9 Whitney, b. ca. 9 Oct 1884, Boston, MA; d. 8 Mar 1885, Boston, MA, aged 4 months 29 days, of meningitis.[1]
