Family:Whitney, Joshua (1751-1796)

Joshua5 Whitney (Matthias4, Cornelius3, Joshua2, John1), son of Matthias4 and Alice (Robbins) Whitney, was born 23 Nov 1751, Killingly, CT,[1] and died 21 Sep 1796.[2]

He married, 6 Apr 1775, Rutland, VT, Lydia Bowen Day, daughter of David and Hannah (Titus) Day. She was born 30 Sep 1752, Attleborough, MA.

Revolutionary War soldier.

He lived in 1781 at Killingly, CT.

Pierce says the following:[3]

After his death she married again to a Mr. WARDSWORTH, and d. Oct. 15, 1817. He was a farmer. He d. Sept. 21, 1796; res. Rutland, Vt., and Avon, N.Y.
