Family:Whitney, Jotham (c1848-a1880)

Jotham⁸ Whitney (Jotham⁷, Eleazer⁶, Nathan⁵, Thomas⁴, Eleazar³, Thomas², John¹), son of Jotham⁷ and Angeline (Jones) Whitney, was born about 1848, Buckland, MA, and died after 1880.

He married, 23 Jan 1876, Vernon, VT, Sarah C. Ray, daughter of Francis and Nancy (Harris) Ray.^[1] She was born Nov 1856, Vernon, VT, and died after 1894. She married secondly, 14 May 1894, Wilmington, VT, Daniel B. Vorce or Vose.

ii.	Zilla J. Whitney, b. 4 Apr 1877, Vernon or Dover, VT; m. 17 Nov 1895, Hinsdale, NH, Charles D. Johnson.[2]
iii.	Mabel W. Whitney, b. Jul 1880, VT; d. aft. 1900, then unmarried.
iii.	Milo Whitney, b. 23 Jul 1882, Dover, VT; d. 2 Oct 1882, Dover, VT, of cholera infantum.
iv.	Ernest C. Whitney, b. 16 Apr 1884, Dover, VT; m. Ethel May Field, b. Hinsdale, NH. Children: a. Elizabeth A.10 Whitney, b. 29 Nov 1909, Northfield, MA.[3] b. Warren J. Whitney, b. 19 Oct 1910, Northfield, MA;[4] "Warren F." d. 8 Dec 1910, Northfield, MA, aged 1 months 19 days, of natural causes.[5]
