Leonard Parker8 Whitney (Horace F.7, Daniel6, [prob.] Caleb5, Joshua4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Horace F.7 and Silvina (Parker) Whitney, was born about 26 Dec 1835, Dover, NH, and died 1 Oct 1898, Cambridge, MA, aged 62 years 10 months 5 days, of softening of brain embolism.[1]

He married firstly, 24 or 26 Feb 1862, Dover, NH, Emily Augusta Griffin,[2] of Sangerville, ME, daughter of John H. and​ Rosomond C. (-----) Griffin. They were apparently divorced before 1874. She was born about 8 May 1839, Guilford or Sangerville, ME, and died between 1870 and 1880 [not found in MA VRs 1841-1910]. She married secondly, 7 Mar 1874, Boston, MA, Clarence H. Montgomery, b. ca. 1840, England, son of John H. and Roasmond (-----) Montgomery.[3]

He married secondly, 4 May 1881, Cambridge, MA, Clara/Carrie/Carra/Cara/Cora F. B. Warfield, daughter of Henry and Frances (-----) Warfield.[4] She was born about 12 Jun 1853, Springfield or Cambridge, MA, and died 26 Jun 1888, Boston, MA, aged 35 years 14 days, of fibroid of uterus exh. fol. operation.[5]

He married thirdly, 8 Jul 1891, Somerville, MA, or Cambridge, MA, Louise Blake (Armstrong) Mahan, daughter of Richard Sands and Janet Isabel (Williams) Armstrong, born 8 Mar 1849, St. John, NB, and died 8 Sep 1939, Cambridge, MA.[6] She had married firstly, 26 Jun 1878, Somerville, MA, George R. Mahan.
