Levi6 Whitney (Hezekiah5, Jonathan4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Hezekiah5 and Lucy (Pollard) Whitney, was born 30 Aug 1786, Harvard, MA,[1] and died 25 Apr 1818, Harvard, MA, aged 31 years 7 months 26 days.[2]

Marriage intentions were published 25 Nov 1811, Harvard, MA, for him and Sarah Davis "of Templeton".[3] He "of Harvard" married, 6 Jan 1812, Templeton, MA, Sarah Davis,[4] daughter of Eleazer and Sarah6 (Whitney) Davis, and granddaughter of Aaron5 and Anna (Lawrence) Whitney. She was born 8 Jun 1789, Templeton, MA.

Children of Levi6 and Sarah (Davis) Whitney, all born Harvard, MA:

i. Evelina7 Whitney, b. 26 Dec 1812;[5] d. 9 or 10 Dec 1838, Harvard, MA, aged 25 or 26 years.[6]
ii. Drusilla D. Whitney, b. 24 Nov 1816;[7] "of Northborough" m. (int. 18 Oct 1843, Grafton, MA[8]) 4 or 9 Nov 1843, Northborough, MA, Edward M. Brigham "of Grafton".[9]
iii. Levi Whitney, b. 25 Apr 1818;[10] m. Susan Sweetser.

Notes

There was another candidate for this marriage and children: Levi7 Whitney, son of Richard6 and Mercy (Willard) Whitney, born 26 Apr 1781, Harvard, MA. Pierce makes that person the father of this family. If his age at death is to be believed, Pierce is wrong.
