Lewis7 Whitney (Moses Gill6, Josiah5, Richard4, Richard3, Richard2, John1), son of Moses Gill6 and Ann (Shields) Whitney, was born 2 Aug 1818, Whitingham, VT,[1] and died 25 Mar 1858, Greenfield, MA, aged 42 years, of consumption.[2]
Intentions of marriage were published -- Mar 1840, Colrain, MA, for him "of Colrain" and Rhoda S. Dodge "of Rowe".[3] He married 5 Mar 1840, Rowe, MA, Rhoda Smith Dodge, daughter of Joseph and Sally (Smith) Dodge. She was born 21 Aug 1816, Rowe, MA, and died 19 Apr 1899, Webster City, IA.[4]
