Mark8 Whitney (Joseph7, Elisha6, Samuel5, William4, Nathaniel3, John2, John1), son of Joseph7 and Abigail (Townes) Whitney, was born 17 Dec 1818, Peru, VT, and died 2 Mar 1907.

He married 27 Apr 1848, Cordelia Gifford. She was born 5 Apr 1825, and died 10 Mar 1916.
