Melville David7 Whitney (Nathan7, Ira6, Nathan5, Nathan4, Thomas3, Thomas2, John1), son of Nathan7 and Susan (Davis) Whitney, was born 6 May 1847, Youngsville, PA, and died 20 Mar 1933, Youngsville, PA. He was buried in Youngsville Cemetery, Youngsville, PA.[1]

He married, 18 Jun 1878, or 13 Jun 1872, PA, Florence Dorleska Kinnear. She was born 18 Jun 1848, Youngsville, PA, and died 1933, Youngsville, PA. She was buried in Youngsville Cemetery, Youngsville, PA.[2]

"Nathan [Whitney] was born in Massachusetts in 1803; they were born in Youngsville, and had a family of seven children, four of whom are now living—-Ira A., Lucy, M. D., and Dr. William D."[3]
