Obadiah⁷ Whitney (Joshua⁶, Joshua⁵, Nathaniel⁴, Nathaniel³, John², John¹), son of Joshua⁶ and Electa (Sawtell) Whitney, was born 6 Apr 1798, Dalton, NH,^[1] and died 18 Aug 1870, Rives Township, Jackson Co., MI.

He married, 1824, Seba Streeter, daughter of Dr Joseph & Elizabeth (Rowe) Streeter. She was born 22 Sep 1809, Pike, Allegany Co., NY, and died 7 Sep 1861, Rives Township, Jackson Co., MI.

The Obadiah Whitney family is buried at East Rives Cemetery located on Easton Rd. in Rives Township, Jackson Co., MI.
