Phinehas Whitney, parentage unknown, was born 1 Dec 1776, as recorded in Phillips, ME,[1] but actual location may be elsewhere, and died 10 Apr 1848, probably Presque Isle, ME. He is buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, ME.

He married, 18 Aug 1803, Sidney, ME, Mary "Polly" Crommitt. She was born 1 Jun 1778, as recorded in Phillips, ME,[2] and died 3 Dec 1853, probably Presque Isle, ME. She is buried in Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, ME. She may have been a daughter of Jeremiah and Judith (Knight) Crommitt of Boothbay, ME.

They resided Phillips and Presque Isle, ME.
