Prince Edward⁸ Whitney (Amos⁷, Jonathan⁶, (prob.) Jonathan⁵, Samuel⁴, John³, Benjamin², John¹), son of Amos⁷ and Hannah (?Doane?) Whitney, was born about 1830, ME, and died 28 Dec 1883, Wautoma, WI.

He married 21 Nov 1859, Francena Eliza Bean, daughter of Albert and Arvilla A. (Conner) Bean. She was born 16 Sep 1844, Henniker, NH, and died 1919.

Prince Edward is found as "Price" Whitney in some records.

On 1 October 1858 he bought land in Stevens Point, WI.

He served in the Civil War as a private in Co. A, 1st Michigan Engineers and Mechanics.
