Ruth4 Whitney (John3, John2, John1), daughter of (John3 and Elizabeth (Harris) Whitney, was born 31 Aug 1674, Roxbury, MA,[1] baptized 6 Sep 1674, Roxbury, MA, and died 19 Nov 1762, Brookline, MA, aged 88 years.[2]

Ruth married 22 Apr 1701, Roxbury, MA, Joseph Adams "of Brookline",[3] son of Roger and Mary (Baker) Adams. He was born 13 Oct 1676, Roxbury, MA.

He was a surveyor on 27 Apr 1708, Brookline, MA. He was a constable on 3 Mar 1712, Brookline, MA. He was a tithingman on 8 May 1722, Brookline, MA. He was a grand-juryman in Jun 1726, Brookline, MA.

Children of Joseph and Ruth4 (Whitney) Adams:

i. Joseph Adams, b. 1717, Brookline, MA; m. Mercy Fowle.
