Sarah6 Whitney (Asa5, Joshua4, William3, Joshua2, John1, ThomasA), daughter of Asa5 and Sarah (Barnes) Whitney, was born 1 Feb 1766, Preston, CT,[1], and died 13 Jun 1825, Berkshire, NY.[2] She was buried in Brown Settlement Cemetery, Berkshire, NY.

She married, 27 Feb 1785,[3] Salisbury, CT, Elijah William Cobb, son of Elijah and Amy (Lawrence) Cobb. He was born 24 Sep 1765, Canaan, NY,[4] and died 12 May 1816, Berkshire, NY.[5]. He was buried in Brown Settlement Cemetery, Berkshire, NY.

Although some sources allege that she married secondly Isaac Goodale, that is impossible, since Isaac's wife was Electa (Allen) from 1812 through 1859.
