Sceva Earl9 Whitney (Henry8, William Henry7, Henry6, Benjamin5, Daniel4, Benjamin3, John2, John1), son of Henry8 and Lucy (Sprague) Whitney, was born 19 Jan 1859 "Seever", North Adams, MA, or Adams, MA,[1] and died 31 Jul 1942, North Adams, MA. He is buried in Hillside Cemetery, North Adams, MA.

He married, 19 Jan 1881, North Adams, MA, Mary Elisabeth Bryant,[2] daughter of Henry Gardner and Susan Chandler (Shepardson) Bryant. She was born 6 Nov 1851, Luzerne, NY, and died 11 Nov 1935, North Adams, MA. She is buried in Hillside Cemetery, North Adams, MA.
