Sidney Hubbard8 Whitney (Henry7, Abel6, Benjamin5, Joseph4, Joseph3, Jonathan2, John1), son of Henry7 and Fanny (Bannister) Whitney, was born 27 Oct 1847, Tunbridge, VT, and died 2 Sep 1912, Groton, MA. He was buried 4 Sep 1912, Groton, MA.

He married, 10 Oct 1888, Boston, MA, Mary Josephine (Peters) Holden,[1] daughter of Ambrose D. and Sarah Jane (Pattison) Peters. She was born 17 Mar 1854, Boston, MA, and died after 1900. She had married firstly, 24 Dec 1872, John A. Haldin/Holden.
