Thomas5 Whitney (Thomas4, Eleazar3, Thomas2, John1), son of Thomas4 and Hannah (Smith) Whitney,[1] was born 2 Sep 1722, Watertown, MA,[2] and died 25 Apr 1806, Westborough, MA.[3]

Marriage intentions were published 24 Feb 1753, Shrewsbury, MA, for him and Ann Gould "of Westborough".[4] Marriage intentions were published 24 Feb 1753, Westborough, MA, for him "of Shrewsbury" and Ann Gould.[5] He married 3 Apr 1753, Southborough, MA, Ann Gould.[6] She was born say 1734, and died 10 Aug 1812, Westborough, MA.[7] She may be the Anna Gould/Gold, daughter of John and Martha (Forbush) Gould/Gold, born 16 Apr 1734, Marlborough, MA.

Pierce says the following:[8]

Thomas WHITNEY was an early resident of Westboro. With his wife they moved to Shrewsbury, where he was admitted to the church in 1784. He died in Westboro. While living in Shrewsbury they resided in that part called "The Shoe." He was in the Shrewsbury company in the Revolutionary war. Thomas WHITNEY's inventory, late of Westboro. Appraised June 3, 1806. Thomas WHITNEY's adm. acct. The account of Jonah WHITNEY, administrator on the estate of Thomas WHITNEY, late of Westboro, deceased. The said accountant charges himself with the personal estate of the deceased, amounting, as per inventory, July 1, 1806.

Probably she was the Lucy Whitney who had this illegitimate daughter:
