Warren Lincoln7 Whitney (John6, Amos5, Amos4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of John6 and Betsey (Fairbanks) Whitney, was born 10 Apr 1834, Newburgh, ME, and died (allegedly 20 Dec 1890, Newport, ME) 14 Jan 1910.

He married firstly, 11 Nov 1861, Augusta, ME, Rachel Wilson Thompson "both of Bangor",[1] daughter of Joel and Ruth (Dwinal) Thompson. She was born 21 Mar 1835, and died 20 Apr 1889, Bangor, ME.

The Hallowell Gazette reported that Capt. Warren L. Whitney of Co. A, 1st Maine Cavalry and Rachie W. Thompson, both of Bangor, were married at the cavalry encampment on 11 Oct 1861.

He married secondly, 1 Oct 1890, Carmel, ME, "Mrs." Vesta May (Reed) Brown "both of Bangor",[2] daughter of Thomas Harvey and Lovina (Trafton) Reed. She was born about 1858, Hermon, ME, and died after 1900.

Warren was a Civil War Veteran, and received a pension from the U.S. government.

i. Maud L.8 Whitney, b. 12 May 1868, ME; m. ca. 1895, Quincy A. Bridges; resided in Guilford, ME.
ii. Harvey H. Whitney, b. Jul 1883, ME; resided in Bangor, ME.

iii. Actor Warren8 Whitney, b. 5 Dec 1893, ME; resided in Bangor, ME.

Notes

The census records show that he was still living in 1900, so the above death date is called into question.
