William W.7 Whitney (Samuel6, Isaac5, Isaac4, Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1), son of Samuel6 and Dorcas (Wescott) Whitney, was born 18 Feb 1816, Gorham, ME, and died 22 May 1886, Farmington, ME.

He married 1838, ME, Elizabeth A. Maxfield, daughter of Elliot and Esther (Leighton) Maxfield. She was born Jan 1822, Cumberland, ME, and died 22 Oct 1888, Farmington, ME. They are both buried in the Riverside Cemetery, Farmington, ME.

They lived in Farmington, ME. He was a farmer.
