Family Talk:Whitney, Eliab Turner (1789-1865)

Entry vii for Emeline Whitney may be incorrect. I am researching the Merry family and per a news article that I have acquired, Emeline Whitney and Jonathan Merry had NO children. Brainerd Merry is the son of David Alonzo Merry and Sara Jane Whitney. David died at age 24 on April 1, 1859 aboard the schooner "Grace T Powers" that went down in a storm. Jonathan and Emeline took Brainard in. Brainard also lived with entry v. Nancy Ann Whitney and her husband Ira Morrison. I do not know who Alden Merry is yet, I am just going by the article that states Jonathan and Emeline had no children. Alden Merry seems likely to be the Alden Blossom Merry, b. 29 Nov 1850, Boothbay, ME, son of Willard and Elizabeth Jane (-----) Merry.
