Holy Bible

Hi there, my name is Judy and I would like to let someone know that I happened to have an ancient Bible. I would like to return it to the correct owner. This bible is really old and it was published by M. Carey 121 Chesnut Street. Please contact me at [email protected] ASAP.

Thanks,

Judy

New Evidence

Hi Whitney Keene,

I would like to call your attention to new evidence being found at the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research: of the children of Stephen and Ruth (Brody) Whitney, namely: Nathan, Benjamin, Crosby, Remington Hobby, Peter, Jane, Mary, Sally Ann. The WRG records show Peter b. 12 Nov 1811 in Maine as a son of Stephen and Ruth. I have of recent, sent my speculation, to Tim Doyle about this family for his observing. The DNA marker test for David Alan Whitney #136195 is being updated from 12 to 37, results by late May this is a descendant of Remington Hobby Whitney. The Crosby in the above family is most likely my 3rd great grandfather Crosby b. 1803. My DNA #37765 shows to be Eleazer3, Thomas2, John1 while the above Stephen Whitney records show Nathaniel3, Benjamin2, John1.

Thank You for your good work,

Gerald E. (Jerry) Whitney [email protected]

DNA Question

[The following was moved here from User:Whitkdna, where it was mistakenly placed.]

My name is Mark Clifford Whitney the only son of Clifford Gordon Whitney the only son of Frederick Clifford Whitney the son of Hugh Monticello Whitney. I am interested in participating in the Whitney DNA Project. Can you tell me what the next step is? Thank you.

DNA Test

Whitney,

I’m Brad Rockwood Whitney and relatively new to WRG. I’ve traced my Whitney family lineage back to my 3rd great grandfather Daniel Whitney, but haven’t yet determined his parents. (I’ll be adding family pages for Daniel’s descendantsas well as completing his page in the near future)

I’m pursuing a couple of possibilities and thought that a DNA test may help me narrow my search or tell me if I’m not related to any of the Whitney families here. How do I go about getting a test started?

Brad

DNA Project

Hello -

I believe I’m related back to Watertown, MA Whitney branch and would like to participate in the study. Please advise of next steps to assist in the DNA project, Currently there does not appear to be much data through the John, Joshua, David line I believe I’m rooted in. I have a father and brother that may also be interested in participating.
