Hello. I am Tom Johnston. I am interested in the Whitney family of Westmeath in Ireland, because I was born in their house and lived their for the first 40 years or so of my life. It was bought by my grandfather in 1918 fromthe Irish Land Commission who had purchased it from the Fetherston-Whitney then owner.
So I regret that I am not a Whitney relative, but I am interested inresearching this branch. I suspect that there are no direct Whithey descendents of this "Westmeath" branch still alive.
I am currently working on a little tree and will share it when I have done what I can. There are some date/generational issues with the nformation you have on this website about the family. Anyway, wish me luck! Tom.
