Jonathan W.⁷ Whitney (Luther⁶, Israel⁵, Elijah⁴, Isaiah³, Thomas², John¹), son of Luther⁶ and Melinda (Wetherbee) Whitney, was born Nov 1819, Harvard, MA, and died 15 Aug 1878.

He married, 13 Dec 1840, Thompson, CT, Mercy R. Chase, "both of Worcester, Mass."^[1] She was born 30 Jan 1822, Dartmouth, Bristol County, RI.

He resided Springfield, OH, 74 Arcade, and 23 Humbolt Ave., Boston, MA.
