William Henry8 Whitney (James Jefferson7, John Merrick6, James Rex5, Caleb4, William3, Joshua2, John1), born Fayette, Mississippi, 31 Dec 1862; married 9 Feb 1881, Naomi Burch Campbell at Bleak House Plantation, Jefferson County - latter know as Stonington, Mississippi. He died 24 Apr 1886; he was shot in a dual over a political argument; resided Fayette, Mississippi.
Naomi Burch Campbell was born 22 May 1863 to Robert William and Ann Cordelia (Girault) (Davenport) Campbell. At 5 days old she was adopted by Issac Washington and Elizabeth Bisland (McCaleb) Burch; I W Burch was the brother to Robert W Campbell's first wife, Nancy Burch.

i. Camille Whitney, born 21 Jun 1884; died 21 Sep 1885. ii. Earl Frost Whitney, born 30 Jun 1885 at Bleak House Plantation, Stonington, Post Office, Jefferson County, Mississippi; home of I W and E B Burch.
