Family:Whitney, Lewis R. (1861-1905)
Lewis R8 Whitney (Albert7, Rufus6, etc.), son of Albert7 and Sarah A (Treat) Whitney,[1] was born 09 Oct 1861, Almond, Allegeny, NY,[2] and died 30 Nov 1905, Bingham, Clinton, Michigan.[3]
He married 24 Jan 1896, Greendale, Midland, Michigan,[4] Daisy G Husted, daughter of Albert and Hannah (Birch) Husted. She was born 1879 in New Haven, Gratiot, Michigan, and died 1965 in Owosso, Shiawassee, Michigan.
They lived in St Johns, Clinton, Michigan.
Lewis and Daisy had a short marriage. When their son (Albert Bert Cunningham) was born in 1897 he was listed on the Return of Births for Midland, Michigan by last name only. They divorced before 1900. In 1900, Lewis was boarding in a house on St Johns Street in Ithaca village, Gratiot, Michigan and was a night watchman at the mill. Thomas E and Lillian A (Douglas) Cunningham had become the guardian of their child who was going by the name Bertie. Lewis suffered a cerebral hemmorage and died on 30 Nov 1905 after a length illness that begin on 26 Dec 1904.
