Long pages
Tim,
When I made the page Archive:First Known Use of Whitney as a Surname, I got a warning that my page was about 45 Kb, and that some browsers have trouble editing pages of more than 32 Kb. It suggested I break the page into smaller parts. Is this a problem, or can I ignore the message?
I foresee many other "long" pages.

1890 Census
Tim,
The 1890 Census of 1890 for D.C. isn't a transcription of the census, is it? It's actually a transcription of the index to that census. The distinction will be obvious when we get to 1880, where we have both the index and the transcriptions.
Furthermore, saying "Whitneys in the ..." seems superfluous. We would have hundreds of pages whose names start with the same three words. I think you should change the name to reflect both of these concerns. Perhaps "Index, 1890 Census, District of Columbia" would be a trifle better.
Similarly, "Index, 1830 Census, Alabama" seems more accurate than "Whitneys in the 1830 Census of Alabama".

Singular versus Plural in Namespaces
Tim,
I concede that the singular form is (slightly) preferable.

Error Message
Tim,
When I tried to confirm my e-mail address (rlward@whitneygen.org), I got the following error message:
"Could not send confirmation mail. Check address for invalid characters."
I tried retyping the e-mail address twice, but got the same message. What gives?

E-mail Confirmation
Tim,
I went through the process again, and was able to complete one more step. I got a message that a confirmation e-mail was sent to me. That's good. That e-mail message never arrived, however. That's bad! I guess I need more help.

E-mail Confirmation
Tim,
Using my Erols e-mail address worked. Thanks for your help. When you get the other issue resolved, I'd like to change my e-mail back to the WhitneyGen one.

Changing E-mail Address
Tim,
I don't see any way on my preferences page to change my e-mail address after it has been confirmed. How does that work?

Breadcrumbs
Tim,
Thanks for the idea of "breadcrumbs". Check out Melville, Chapter II for a different approach to navigation.
I like breadcrumbs. I think > would suffice, instead of -->.

Working it out
Tim, this is great. I discovered that unless I scroll to the bottom of the page and SAVE, I lose...makes sense just a dumb mistake. Thankfully I had just babbled a line or 2. Aside from this purpose of communication between members, I can see other uses for the discussion page as well.
