- The following list compiles information from the schedules of estate that were filed in the United States District Court for the District of Maine at Portland. The schedules are arranged chronologically by the date filed and ar numbered consecutively (1-386). The information from the estate schedules has been arranged so that each entry contains the number of the schedule (based on sthe date filed), name, age, residence, rank and military unit, personal and real estate, occupation, if unable to work and reason, family members and their capacity for support, total value of estate, whether struck from, continued on, or restored to the pension list, and the original date of filing. - 59. DANIEL WHITNEY, 66, Gorham, private, Williams's Co., Phinney's Regt., Mass. Real estate, 40 acres of land in Groton, a small house and barn on it. Personal estate, 2 oxen, 2 cows, 4 sheep, 2 pigs, a few articles of very ordinary household furniture. I have no income and am in debt fifty dollars. Farmer, not able [due to] rheumatism and old age. Abigail, wife, 59, in a deranged state of mind and has been so 5 years; Polly, 21, weakly; Meriam, 18, able to earn a living; Happy, 16, weakly; Louise, 14, able to do some work. $695, stricken. 7 June 1820.

- 65. STEPHEN WHITNEY, 64, Standish, private, Lane's Co., Varnum's Regt., R.I. Real estate, of an acre of land in Standish with a small home on it. Personal estate, one pig and a few articles of household furniture, I have no income. Laborer, am able - most of the time. Martha, wife, 58, a feeble woman. $10, continued. 8 June 1820.
- 66. JOSHUA WHITNEY, 59, Buxton, private, Bannister's Co., Shepperd's Regt., Mass. Real estate, 9 acres of land in Buxton with a small poor house on it - one half of which land is very poor a mere heath. Personal property, a few necessary articles in the house - I have no income. Laborer, not able [due to] weakness, all the time. Mary, daughter, 30 married and with me part of the time; Huldah, 26, able to support herself; Nancy, 22, able to support herself; Almira, 16, also able. $85, stricken. 8 June 1820.

- 80. JESSE WHITNEY, 63, Saco, private, Mayberry's Co., Francis's and Tupper's Regts., Mass. Real estate none. Personal estate, 1 cow, a few articles necessary in the house, I have no income but have received assistance from friends. Laborer, not able [due to] sickness. Charity, wife, 38, been sick 2 months; Olive, 13; Eliza, 8; Mary, 4; Susan, 1, children unable to support themselves. $25, continued. 8 June 1820.

- 134. ISAAC WHITNEY, 71, Gorham, private, Jenkins' Co., Brewer's Regt., Mass. Real estate, I have none. Personal estate, 3 cows, 1 heifer, 1 old horse, 1 swine, 6 sheep, a few necessary articles of household stuff. I have a bond for one half of the net income of seventy acres of land in Gorham - after labor, taxes, and expenses are paid. I do not think that my part has ever been or will be more than sixty dollars. I am owing about twenty dollars. I have no other estate or income. Farmer, not able [due to] age and bodily infirmity. Polly, wife, 69, a very weakly woman; Polly, daughter, 32, able to support herself; Sophia, daughter, 23, weakly girl; Polly Newcomb, 18, a grandchild able to work; Wm Newcomb, 11, a grandchild able to work. $150.25, stricken. 13 June 1820.
