Jones, Arthur M., "Notes and Queries: STIMPSON," NEHGR, vol. LX (1906), p. 209.

STIMPSON. -- In the REGISTER, vol. 59, page 368, it is stated that [19] John5 Stimpson (John4, John3, Andrew2, Andrew1) married Mary, daughter of Nathaniel and Mary (Kemball) Harrington, but this is an error, for in 1784 she was the wife of David Whitney, as shown in the will of Nathaniel Harrington, in Middlesex Co. Probate, file 7316. The oldest child of Daniel Whitney was named Mary Kimball.
John5 Stimpson probably married Mary, daughter of Edward and Anna (Bullard) Harrington of Watertown, who, according to Bond, was born Aug. 23, 1752, for in the division of Edward Harrington's estate, in 1794, Middlesex Co. Probate, file 7280, one share was alloted to "the heirs of Mary Stimson, deceased."
