The statement on p. 262, that Lydia³, daughter of Joseph² and Dorothy³ (HYDE) PERHAM, b. 27 Jul 1703, Chelmsford, MA, married William WHITNEY is erroneous. It was, instead, her aunt Lydia², daughter of John¹ and Lydia (SHEPLEY) PERHAM, b. 19 Feb 1673/4, Chelmsford, MA, who married William³ WHITNEY on 16 Mar 1699/1700, Chelmsford, MA, three years before her niece's birth.
