Y., Jan. 3, 1820; m. there, Sept. 2, 1841, Elmira COLWELL, b. Jan. 30, 1812; d. Oct. 16, 1888. He was born in Seneca, N. Y., where he resided until 1840, when he moved to Hudson, Mich, where he has since resided, engaged in farming and lumbering. He is a member of the Congregational church; res. Hudson, Mich. 8952. i. JOEL COLWELL, b. Dec. 14, 1843. He was born at Hudson, Mich.; educated at the public schools there and at Hillsdale college, and while at the latter place enlisted in the army in the summer of 1862 in Co. C, BERDAN'S Sharpshooters, and served until 1863. 38
